Laze on the beach… There are several fine beaches in the vicinity of Knysna; The beach at Brenton-on-Sea offers kilometres of rolling waves washing onto pristine golden sands, defined by towering sand dunes. Magnificent! Further along is Buffalo Bay, a quaint sea-side village of mismatched beach bungalows and a safe family swimming beach favoured by both locals and visitors. Wind through a eucalyptus plantation to Noetzie; a secluded pristine cove famous for its turreted castles right on the beach. Ride the turning tide at Sedgefield as the crystal clear river waters run out to sea, or investigate the rock pools at nearby Gericke’s point. Whales, otter, dolphins, seal can all be viewed in the pristine waters along this magnificent stretch of coast where ancient indigenous forest and cape fynbos overlook rocky outcrops and secluded beaches.
